what I need is some guidance

what I need is a lesson to learn

today my mind is empty

at least as far as love's concerned

could you give me some pointers?

I will listen to every word you say

there is nothing I wouldn't give

for some advice on this brand new day

I have not had many teachers

no one had clues to say to me

if I had known what was in the future

I would have prepared what I could be

instead it seems I know nothing

and I am desperate to know

the ways that life can include me

I have no idea where to go

          I will do what you want me to do

          as long as I know what I'm getting into
