today I listened to your silence
and this is what it said
it told me you were hanging on
by a very narrow thread
that you were bearing the weight
of everyone around you
and now you're being tortured
by the pain that surrounds you

          I know it doesn't mean much
          but you will be okay
          just try to make it through
          another day
