talking election blues

there is a way to win
this is how you begin
first off, you register to vote
and then you read the daily news
pick anything you want to choose
do research and even take some notes
and then you hope and pray
elections will turn out your way
and turn out just like you want them to
you may think you're helpless now
but you can do what you know how
voting is the least that you can do

          before the experts call it
          you must fill out your ballot
          it's still legal
          it is not a crime
          vote you mind and vote your heart
          do what you can and do your part
          and maybe we'll get justice this time
