I dreamed I was flying

I dreamed I was flying
over the Pacific
and I woke up
when I heard the alarm
I feel real bad
a lot less than terrific
I knew something was coming
to cause me great harm

tou see, dreams can be
just like real life
they can caress you and cut you
like the blade in a knife
but dreams are not real
though it seems they may be
especially when
they are happening to me

so what am I afraid of
real life or my dreams
they're one and the same
at least that's how it seems
so I'll take my courage
hold it close to my chest
rely on my instincts
and faith will take the rest
