kitchen sink

turn on the faucet
out comes the water
hot or cold
a lot or a little
you know it's gonna
do what it oughta
no second thoughts
no stuck in the middle

          if you think about it
          try to live without it
          it's taken for granted
          written in invisible ink
          it's anybody's guess
          just how much we're blessed
          with this clean water
          running in the kitchen sink
