it was an ordinary day/ like every other day/ I drove my daughter to school/ then I drove away/ to my job in the city/ where I worked till 5/ the weekend was upon me/ I was glad to be alive
so I went to the liquor store/ bought a six pack of beer/ walked out to my car/ without an ounce of fear/ when the officers saw me/ and came from behind/ I hadn't done nothing/ I was just passing the time
