I'm ready for summer to be over


I'm ready for summer to be over
I'm tired of the sun
beating down on everyone
it's not much fun
to be sweating in  this heat
I'm ready for summer to be over
I don't mean to complain
but I'm lonely for the rain
to fall upon these city streets
