I keep walking (rewrite 2)

the rain may fall down
the wind, it may blow
I stand on solid ground
but still I must go
I keep walking
I keep on pushing through
I keep walking
right back home to you

good luck may pass me by
it usually does
if you ask me why
I'll say just because
I keep walking
I do the best I can do
I keep walking
right back home to you

there are trucks out on the highway
          freight trains on the tracks
but I'll keep walking to you
          and I'm never going back

I hope that you are waiting
that you'll be there when I come
I am appreciating
where you're coming from
I keep walking
like I'm going to Timbuktou
I keep walking
right back home to you

the rain may fall down
the wind, it can blow
but I'm gonna stick around
because I love you so
I keep walking
just like I always do
I keep walking
right on home to you
