this is what I do all day
just to waste the time away
I look at what I don't have
and feel envy deep inside
everything that isn't mine
a house, a car, a valentine
all the stuff I really want
has somehow been denied
I could look the other way
or think about another day
but that's not good enough for me
I could look at what I have
something for my own behalf
something that won't cause me jealousy
