friends I used to know

lately I've been thinking
of friends I used to know
or at least I thought they were 
friends from not so long ago
I want to ask was it my fault
was it something I did wrong
maybe we weren't really friends
maybe I imagined it all along

          and sometimes at night I wonder
          where in the world did they go
          all of a sudden they disappeared
          the friends I used to know
