if I sleep
wake me up
in case anything happens
I may look like I'm sleeping
but I'm really just waiting
for my life to begin.
I have been awake
but nothing is breathing.
everything seems to be
running in place.
nothing moves.
so I might as well sleep
but remember wake me up
if something happens.
