not long for this world

I feel as frozen as the winter wind
searching for warmth inside your skin
still waiting for my life to begin
I am not long for this world

I need your touch
I need to call you mine
a train to travel down the timberline
most of all I need to turn back time
I am not long for this world

and if you call me
I may not be there
and if you call me
I may not be there

I swear to God, for goodness' sake
I pray the Lord my soul to take
and hope that I was not a mistake
I am not long for this world

and if you call me
I may not be there
and if you call me
I may not be there

I feel as frozen as the winter wind
searching for warmth inside your skin
notify my next of kin
I am not long for this world

and if you call me
I hope I will be there
and if you call me
I hope I can be there
and if you call me
I pray I may be there
and if you call me
I will be there...
if I can...
